More Pink Please
For her baby's 1st birthday party the mom could not decide on which cake to get so she ordered both!
Gumpaste Ruffles
I had a whole weekend of cakes with a pink theme starting with this one.
I donated this cake as well as a future cake order to a silent auction that took place Sat June 2nd.

I chose the design based on a technique that I have been wanting to try out. I really do love the look of it, but it does take lots of time and patience.

Daffodils for my Mom
My mom loved the daffodils I made a while back so it seemed right to make them again on a cake for her birthday. This one has border ruffles that I loved making. Easy and elegant.
Bombardier CRJ 900
What other kind of cake do you get for a pilot?
This CRJ 900 would have had very little cake in it if I just made the cake into the plane, so my solution was to have the plane, which is rice cereal treat, flying through the cloud.

Hot Dog!
This was such a fun idea. I love it when my customers are the creative ones. It takes the pressure off me. ;-)
I promise there was no hot dog flavor at all inside.

Star Wars Light Sabers
This is not my design, I can not take credit for it.
My son wanted a light sabers cake and he decided that he would be the one to design it. He drew it out on paper a month before his birthday and wanted me to copy it exactly in icing. I did my best to do his drawing justice.
Maybe one day I can hire him as my designer.

Vader cookies
I really liked the idea of giving out cookies at the end of the party instead of loot bags filled with junky stuff, so I attempted to Darth Vader on these ones. I really preferred the Elmo ones that I made for someone else.
Patrick Kane Jersey
For this jersey cake, we wanted it to look a little more jersey shaped than my last one, here, so I used a rectangle pan instead of square and when I cut off some pieces to shape the top I added them to the bottom to lengthen it even more.
Baptism for Ethan & Reese
It looks like I am many many cakes behind in m,y blogging, but I do tend to do that, oops!
As you can tell by the date on the cake, thats how far behind I am.
So this is me catching up starting with this gender neutral baptism cake. It was so hard not to veer in the direction of pinks and blues.
